This fishing catamaran
"STAR TREK"
is setting new standards in the Australian tuna long line fishery.

This new fishing catamaran is to operate in the East Coast Tuna long line fishery.

Designed and built byCommercial Catamaransof Lakes Entrance.

With two 340 hp. motors driving through twin disc 3:1 ratio gear boxes the vessel cruises at 13 knots with a top speed of 14 knots.

COLD STORAGE:56 cubic metres of cool room and over 7 cubic metres of bait freezer.
REFRIGERATED SALT WATER:A total of 32 tonnes.
FUEL:Approximately 14,000 litres per side.
RANGE:Approximately 8,000 miles.
ACCOMMODATION:Foreward. Consists of ultra modern galley complete with micro wave oven, side by side fridge/freezer and full size electric stove.
A large mess adjoins the galley.
Sleeping quarters are accessed from the galley/mess area and will accommodate 6 in single bunks.
A large bathroom including shower and toilet is on the same level.
The wheelhouse contains a further bunk.
All accommodation areas are fully air conditioned.

Accommodation can easily be increased should your type of fishing or processing at sea require large numbers of crew.

There is the possibility of the modification of the plans to suit any type of fishing.

With the same basic hull and deck structure, plan your own superstructure, wheelhouse,accommodation,engine power, cool rooms, freezers, fishing gear etc. etc.

This concept is ideal for anyone considering processing at sea.
