THE CONCEPT

Caramarans have been part of the transport of passengers and cargo across the oceans for centuries. Some of the earliest fishing vessels were certainly catamarans.

Horst Fisher started fishing Bass Strait with a catamaran some 25 years ago and has progressed from an 8 metre cat with two inboard outboards through the fishing boat " STARFIRE " to the latest vessel shown here...

Skippers and crew who have fished on all these cats have been unanimous in their praise of the sea keeping ability and comfort of working on a stable platform.
