Coming from a wealth of local and interstate experience these jazz/funkers created 'PUB GROOVE' a stripped back energetic show void of guitar and keyboard washes. Experimenting with styles, sounds and textures, the Yonnies have combined hipshakin' grooves, unique Aussie lyrics and infectious live performances to capture audiences where ever they play. Formed a matter of months ago 'PIFFEN YONNIES' have already supported The Living End, Area 7 & Men At Work and racked up some impressive achievements including:

  • First in the State Final of the National Campus Band Competition 1998 & third in the National Final
  • Two gigs at Melbourne's Fringe Festival including the Brunswick St parade
  • A three campus RMIT mini tour
  • Finalist -PUSH OVER battle of the bands held at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 21
  • A cameo appearence in TISM's new 'Thunderbirds are coming out' video
  • Have just finished recording their full length debut album
