B001="<h1 class='btpi'>Impossibilities</h1> <p>According to premillennislists, the Antichrist&rsquo;s career and the incredible events of a <span class='nb'>seven-year</span> tribulation, end in the climactic war of Armageddon <span class='nb'>&mdash;a war</span> that would annihilate the world if not for the intervention of Christ&rsquo;s second coming. Typically, the premillennialist will interpret a vision in Revelation as though it were a news report from the future.<br />&nbsp;<br />Things seen in dreams and visions, however, are not always possible in reality.  The vision well represents the spiritual battle that is going on in the world today.  But it&rsquo;s not a literal description of an actual physical battle <span class='nb'>&mdash;for the</span> simple reason that it&rsquo;s physically untenable.<br />&nbsp;<br />For example, why would horses be used in a modern day battle?  And how could a river of blood like that in the vision exist in reality? <span class='nb'>(Rev 14:20).</span> The sensational claims about this imagined future conflict distract us from the very real battle now being waged between the spiritual forces of good and evil <span class='nb'>(Eph 6:10-17)</span></p>";

B004="<h1 class='btpi'>Advantages</h1> <p>A lot of panels on simplybible.com are written directly on to a page.  The gold panel on this page was so written.  Panels don't have to use the Annotations setup, but it&rsquo;s often advantageous to do so.</p><p><b>Availability to multiple pages:</b> Snippets kept as annotations can be made available to several lessons and pages.</p><p><b>For example:</b> You might have a lesson that has been split into two or three parts, but you may want the same panel to appear on all those parts.</p><p><b>Ease of duplication:</b> All you have to do is place the panel content as one or more entries in an annotations database. Then you reference it with two <span class='nb'>one-line</span> scripts which you copy onto the html document for each part of the lesson <span class='nb'>&mdash;one script</span> in the document head and the other script in the body.</p><p><b>Uncluttered documents</b> are easier to manage, efficient for browsers to handle, and present the main text to robots <span class='nb'>&mdash;hiding</span> supplementary text <span class='nb'>from them&mdash;</span> so that the page will be better indexed.</p>";

B008="<h2>My Dog</h2><p>It is a sad thing to be cut off from God.  It certainly makes God&nbsp;sad.</p><p>Many years ago, I was given a beautiful dog.  She was a young blue&nbsp;heeler.</p><p>Because I had to go to work each day, she and I would be separated for a long time.</p><p>She was unhappy being alone.  As she watched me going off to work, she would thump the tin shed with her tail making an awful din, and she would wail at the top of her voice.</p><p>When I finally came home, she was always waiting, and she would jump and bark with joy. Realizing her sorrow and longing, I gave her to my brother who gave her work and company.</p><p>If a dog can have such strong feelings about being separated, how infinitely more sad must God&nbsp;feel?</p>";

B009="<h2>Footprints</h2><p>A man dreamed he saw footprints in the sand. In the beginning there were two sets of footprints side by side, but further on, one set alone. An angel said, &ldquo;You became a sinner and Jesus walked with you no more.&rdquo;</p><p>Yet farther along were two sets of footprints again.  The angel said, &ldquo;You believed and obeyed Jesus. B011="<p>The dates and times surrounding the life of Jesus are not very far wrong, but there is some uncertainty.</p><p>There are three main calendars involved:</p><ul><li>The Jewish calendar</li><li>The Julian calendar</li><li>The Gregorian calendar</li></ul><p>Because a year is not an exact whole number of days, <span class='nb'>man-made</span> calendars and clocks do not keep in step with the natural times and seasons unless adjustments are made now and again.</p><p>In our days, scientists keep our calanders and clocks in step very accurately, adjusting our clocks by a mere second when necessary.</p><p>The time governers also use the &ldquo;leap year&rdquo; (an extra day in February) to keep our calendar from ever getting more than a day out of kilter.</p><p>However this attention to the accuracy of calendars was not always maintained.</p><p>At some periods down through the centuries, the calendar got so out of alignment with the seasons that things like seedtime and harvest were seriously affected.</p><p>Even when adjustments were made, they were sometimes gross, confused, and parochial.</p><p>The lack of uniformity in calendars used in the past, and in the adjustments made to them, creates difficulties in establishing dates more accurately than a close approximation.</p>";

B017="<h1 class='btpi'>The Trouble With This&nbsp;Lesson</h1><p>I hardly know where to begin this lesson, or what to put&nbsp;in.</p><p>How do I explain to you that the destiny God has purposed for you is that you should be an honoured member of God&rsquo;s own household?</p><p>This right will be granted you on one condition, well within your ability to meet.  You must believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God and receive him as your Saviour.</p><p>What bothers me is that <span class='nb'>&mdash;unless</span> you are an exceptional <span class='nb'>person&mdash;</span> I could talk for half an hour about this in your hearing, yet you will not hear!  You will not appreciate what I am trying to tell you.  You will listen to me politely, as one does to a minister.</p><p>You may even approve of what I say, and even feel good that once again you have exercised your freedom of religion and done your worship for the week.  Yet you won&rsquo;t really have heard anything I said.  It will be just religious words, the familiar sounds of church, a message lost on&nbsp;you.</p><p class='Note'> There was a little dog owned by an elderly lady.  It sat each day at the cottage gate.  Neighbours and passers by would say hello, give it a pat, tell it what a cute little doggie it&nbsp;was.</p><p>One day, the dog was at the gate as usual.  As each passer by would greet it, the dog would give a few barks, and look toward the cottage.  It would follow the passer by along the fence and bark again.</p><p>Each passer by would say something like, &ldquo;Dear me, you are noisy today!  There, there now!  That&rsquo;s a good doggie!&rdquo;  This went on for three days.  Then the dog disappeared.</p><p class='Note'> After a while the passers by and neighbours missed the little dog at the gate, and realised that they hadn&rsquo;t seen the elderly lady either.  Two neighbours went in to see if all was&nbsp;well.</p><p>In the kitchen they found the elderly lady and the dog both dead.  Both, it turned out upon investigation, had suffered stroke.  It was realized that the little dog had died of distress, because nobody had really listened to what it had been trying to tell&nbsp;them.</p><p>Sometimes I feel like that little dog.  My ability to communicate this message to you is limited.  If you will not be sensitive to what I am trying to say, then my effort will be in&nbsp;vain.<br />&nbsp;<br /></p>";
