Another source told me that Sarah met a George Duffin about 1820 and had a child in 1821. She then married Richard Boyd (Convict - assigned to John Mcarthur at Cowpastures) on 16th October 1823. Richard stayed on at Mcarthur's as a farrier. Sarah died on 16th December 1870 and both her and Richard are buried at St Johns, Camden |
OTHER KNOWN INFORMATION OR COMMENTS:- On 26th Sept 1791 he arrived in Australia on the "Queen" which was among the ships of the third fleet. He was a Sergeant in the New South Wales Corp. Robert and Lydia were on Norfolk Is in 1793 and returned to Sydney in 1794.
Additional information was provided to me about Robert by Marion Starr who has written a book titled :- "Murder, Mayhem & Misdemeanours - Early Settlers at the Cowpastures River NSW 1810 - 1830" Robert is mentioned on pages 9, 15, 33, 107, 108, 114, 120, 137, 163, 182, 183, 185, 186, 187, 190, 191, 192, 203, 240, 245, 257, 264. Information about the vessel "Queen" which he came to Australia on can be found on pages 186, 187, 201,245. The book also mentions over 120 people living in that area at the time giving details about them and the ship they arrived here on, stories of life back in that era, shows maps of land grants and references to where all the information was obtained from.
