Well here we are again and look how slack I've been on the Happenings page! There have been no new additions for almost exactly a year and I guess that's because I have been studying again. Almost finished now - three weeks to go and then just the accounting that I started to finish. I'll be so glad to be able to get into the spring cleaning of my house, it has been needing it for a while now.

Life struck our family a terrible blow recently when our John was killed in a tragic car accident on the 14th of April.

John Glen Jackway first came into my life when I was 13 he was a friend of friends, we didn't hit it off straight away... he was gorgeous but he had a girlfriend. It was a couple of years later that we started to 'notice' each other and then the rest as they say is History.

John was the father of my children, my ex de-facto husband of over ten years and part of my family. We maintained a good friendship since our separation... were always the best of friends even if we disagreed with each other...always friends no matter what and partners in the raising of our children. I feel I should mention Rachael here as she is an important part of our lives now that John is gone. John met Rachael almost two years ago and fell in love with her, they got engaged early in 2009. Rachael became a good friend of our family and is now a very special friend of mine she will remain so for always. We are thankful that we had the chance to know John and I will always feel as though some small part of me is missing now - we will miss you John xxx

Well... the boys have lost their father but they are moving on with life as we all do given that there is no choice in this fact... so on a wonderfully happy note our Grand child Seth Zachary John Jackway was born on the 18th of May and he is absolutely beautiful!

I have had a very busy year with my studies and a little bit of work tutoring, then there's kids and dogs and cats and life in general.

We had a new addition to the family in March when Teddy-Bear (a maltese Chihuahua Chinese Crested) came to live with us. He is adorable...totallly adorable! I'll be sure to add an image to the site asap, he is such a little sweety that he is hard to resist.

Life has been great though I don't seem to have enough time to be creative lately and the store has unfortunately suffered for it. I have removed the product page as I decided there needed to be some new additions to freshen things up and in the near future I will be enhancing and reproducing the product page with the new 'Underwater Toons' series. The collection compliments Toon A. Fish who is currently available in my Renderosity store. I am quite excited about finishing the new series and am hoping it isn't too long before I can complete them all.

Be sure to contact me if you would like to purchase privately anything that you may have had on your wishlist at my Renderosity store before the deletions.

Well here we are at the end of another year. It's been rather busy with my current studies but I have really enjoyed all of it immensely particularly the programming in VB.net. It is such an easy language to program in and I look forward to learning as much as I can in this area. Next year I will take another next step in learning everything I possibly can to enhance my current knowledge.
I know it will not end there as these skills will always need updating as long as there are advances in the Information Technology arena.

I hope everyone has a peaceful holiday period.

I have to apologise about no 'Happenings' for a while now. I have been rather busy with my studies and life has been plodding along quietly with nothing big happening all year. This is good... I like it quiet.

I am rather enjoying my studies this year, some subjects are quite a load to get completed but I am hugely enjoying the VB.net programming module. Programming it seems could easily become my obsession! It gets a little confusing making your head think 10 steps ahead of where you are right now and I find great value in documenting and planning the major parts of my projects though it is sometimes more time consuming than writing the code.

Life is basically good with the family, apart from a cold that has been doing the rounds and my modelling is a little on hold currently with no time to do anything of quality. Soon the current year will finish and I'll have holidays to play with Poser and my models again...yay! Anyway... I hope everyone is having a good year and a peaceful life

Well here we are in a new year already ...
Christmas holidays were busy busy and I hope you all had a wonderful time over the holiday season! I am back studying again as it seems there is always something new I want to learn! This time I am learning some stuff I have not much experience with at all ... networking and programming. I think it will be a real challenge to learn all the jargon heh heh.

In the political arena ... Kevin Rudd won the election late last year and today made history when he apologised on the behalf of parliament to the Aboriginal people of Australia for all the wrong doings of the past. In case you are not aware Australia has some nasty history when it comes to the original inhabitants of this land. Get some information here European Network for Indigenous Australian Rights

Welcome,
This week I have uploaded a new product to the store and added the products page to the site.
The latest product is a set of Anime style Pig-Tails that are perfect for animation due to the fact that they need no textures or transparencies. The hair prop is also perfect for still Anime/Manga style images and can be used in Daz studio with no problems. Feel free to browse the products page onsite or you can go straight to my My Renderosity Store for your anime style needs :)

Life's been treating us all fairly well lately, the sun is beginning to shine here in the Mount and I always like the nice weather though a little bit of rain here and there would be nice for the farmers affected by drought and my poor front lawn covered in sturdy weeds instead of grass.

It's nearly election time here in Oz (24 November 07) and it seems the big guns this time around are Kevin Rudd and John Howard... I'm finding it a bit difficult to know who to vote for this time around. I am thinking that maybe it's a 'better the devil you know than the devil you don't' type situation with Johhny Howard and I can't seem to recall a single election promise made by Kevvy Rudd.
It would be really nice if politicians could actually be thinking about 'the people' in times like this and not just their election possibilities as it seems to me that it is all about how they will get votes and not about what is 'real' :(
I have to say though that John Howard inadvertently strangling that Teddy bear the other day on David and Kim was pretty funny and showed how passionate he is about some issues... maybe... or could be that he is simply a Teddy bear hater! mwahahahahahaha.

Don't forget that I'm open to any opinions so feel free to post some feedback through the feedback page.

Hello again, This week I have made a couple of small changes in the navigation links. I found a small error in my code for the borders that I have been annoyed about for weeks and finally I remembered that I needed to fix it. The page wasn't quite perfectly centred but luckily no one seemed to really notice but me.

I have moved the Information and Ramblings from the Home page to a page of it's own called Happenings which is where you are right now and placed a small site summary on the Home page instead. I decided that it would clog the home page up when there is several months worth of entries and I thought that it would not look very nice at all.

I moved the navigation links on the gallery page to the lower portion of the page as someone had suggested that it looked nicer when the page opened onto the gallery image and not the navigation links.

I'm open to any opinions so feel free to post some feedback through the form.

This week I have updated the site with a feedback form on it's own page, there is a link at the bottom of each page where someone may possibly want to leave feedback or have an opinion.

Life has still been pretty good

Creatively...I am currently working on a new hair and anime style set of clothing for aiko to wear that has taken much longer to finish up due to unforeseen laziness in the area of rigging the joints and bends correctly and a bit of life getting in the way type stuff... I may decide to split the pack and zip up as individual items but not sure at this point.

Hello again,

I have updated the links page and there are a few new links to check out, the Gallery is now in place onsite too.

Life has been pretty good. I went out for lunch today with the South East Carers.
I have not been to one of their lunches before and am a little bit of a hermit so was a bit apprehensive. My sister took me in her car and the lunch was wonderful and free as well. There were some great people to meet and it was good to know that other people go through similar things as I do with their children living this wonderful, exhausting, and enlightening life with an Autism Spectrum Disorder in the family.

Thankyou to the South East Carers who are a wonderful bunch of people.

Welcome to the OpenMindDesign Website.

Life has been rather hectic lately but I have finally gotten around to designing the website and uploading. I hope you enjoy and find the links and information helpful and interesting.

I plan on updating at least once a month with new links or other information, issues of interest etc and eventually maybe include a gallery onsite. Providing life is not to busy it should happen as planned. Anyway, thanks for visiting and enjoy the visit. Feel free to email me with any questions you might have about the site and or my artwork.
