Photographs taken during and after launch of " STAR TREK "

Moving Hull Past the Pub. Moving hull through a narrow street. Moving hull through main street of Lakes Entrance.
Getting the vessel from the factory to the water involved cranes, trucks, support vehicles, electricity workers,
road maintence, police, a number of photographers and a very large crowd of onlookers.
Afterdeck. Deck Party. Visitors on STAR TREK after launch.
Factory staff, family and friends enjoy a cruise on the lake prior to departure.
Cranes Launching Hull. Superstructure. Heading out of the Lakes.
Cranes at each end of the vessel carefully lift and lower the vessel into the water. “STAR TREK” is then taken in tow to the maintenance area for completion of fit out and the fitting of the bridge. Fit out is completed along side. The bridge is lifted on, machinery and refrigeration installation is finished, electronics are installed and tested and accommodation areas are completed. "STAR TREK" is finally ready for work and leaves Lakes Entrance for fishing grounds off the East Coast of Australia.
