Marco Goldsmith

Guitar, Vocals, Lyrics

By the time Marco had picked up his first guitar in his mid-teens, he had already had an upbringing peppered with the highs and lows of middle class life in Port Fairy, a tough little fishing town. As the years passed, Marco developed a searing guitar style and roots based vocal delivery often likened to the names, King, Vaughan and many other Blues heavyweights.

Marco fostered Blues music as a means of tapping into that hurt place, the way he had heard the masters do it. Marco's great grandfather was born on the sailing ship Marco Polo, crossing from Scotland to Australia in 1885. The ship sank in stormy seas, leaving behind a handful of survivors, young Marco (great-grandfather) and his mother, amongst the favoured. Ma rco believes he shares a commonality with this great-grandfather in that they have both survived the storm. Marco's music is the embodiment of the storm within him, out of which he sculpts with shimmering guitar licks, a rich vocal style and gut felt lyr ics to tell how it is.
