Help with using this site
The web pages for simplybible.com can be viewed in various ways. The information below tells you how to select from among the various page presentations.
In normal mode, a page has a banner and a footer, as well as the main content. On wider or higher resolution windows, there is also a sidebar. These extra areas provide page-relevant information, navigation links, and cross references. Whenever you see the "restore" button, it will bring the page back to normal mode with all the bells and whistles.
In the side bar and at the end of an article, you will usually see a red "print" button. (You will also see a print icon in Pick-a-box which works the same way). This will give you a preview of the format that goes to your printer. You don't need to use this button to create the print format. That is done automatically when you ask your browser to print. The red print button's function is to let you preview the print format should you wish. You might, however, need to use your browser’s own print preview to adjust printing to 100% —if you have a shrink-to-fit function enabled.
pdf If there is a "pdf" button next to the "print" button, this means that a pdf document is available to you as another option. The "pdf" button will raise that document for you.
If you hit the blue "simple" button then the page refreshes in large print without a banner, sidebar, or footer. You can move between the parts of a lesson in this mode using the links at the very bottom of the page. The simple page mode is handy when you want to view just the uncluttered content of the page in large print.
If you are viewing simplybible.com in a wide window, and you resize the window to a narrow one, you will notice that the page gets scrambled. Just hit the FIX PAGE button at top right corner and the page should re-open in a simpler presentation that suits the narrow window. Subsequent pages should open in this simpler form. When you re-size the window to wide again, the same button will bring back all the bells and whistles. This button also helps if a page opens in full mode on a small screen and is too squashed.
If your browser is not running Javascript (currently yours is) (currently yours is not) then you will see a page much like the simple version, except that there will be simpler navigation links at the bottom of the page. I have made sure that simplybible.com works without Javascript and on every page you have direct access to all the comprehensive indexes.
